About This Process
We are committed to meeting community needs by delivering research-based outreach programs. A comprehensive Extension review and recent administrative structure analysis have documented a need for administrative changes. Dr. Laura Stephenson, who assumed the position of Extension Director on August 1, 2019, is working with a series of transition teams to conceptualize and implement a new administrative structure. This website is designed to share updates of this process. New information will be posted as the teams meet and work.
The University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service is committed to meeting community needs through the delivery of research-based outreach programs. We connect the University to communities across the state through local Extension offices and county-based staff. Through a comprehensive process initiated in July 2019, a new administrative structure has been designed. Significant budget reductions occurring during the COVID-19 crisis have led to modifications to the initial plans.
