The Extension Administrative Transition Team met January 8, 2020. The team reviewed the schedule for implementation of the new administrative structure outlined below.

  • Mid to late January: Announcement of Regional Extension Directors
  • Early February: First phase of Area Extension Director positions open for application.
  • March-May: Interview process for first phase of Area Extension Director hiring.
  • June: Announcement of first phase Area Extension Directors.
  • July: Second phase of Area Extension Director positions open for application.
  • September-November: Interview process for second phase of Area Extension Director hiring.
  • December: Announcement of second phase Area Extension Directors.

The group then focused on reviewing a potential concept for the Area Extension Director interview process including both campus-based and county-based components. The meeting wrapped up with a discussion of potential additions to the administrative transition frequently asked questions and key discussion items for February District staff meetings. The team will meet next on May 6, 2020 at 2:30 p.m.
