The Extension Administrative Transition Team met August 5-6, 2019 to discuss administrative structure change for the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. The two-day meeting agenda focused on:

  • Options for a new administrative system utilizing areas and regions
  • Potential job duties for area and regional administrative positions
  • Projected cost for two potential configurations of areas within three regions
  • A timeline for finalizing and implementing the new administrative structure
  • Feedback options for gathering input throughout the decision-making and implementation process.

Additionally, the administrative transition team finalized a charge for the recently announced Extension agent team, outlined tentative plans for a feedback process at September district staff meetings and determined a process to follow in convening a third transition team comprised of Extension faculty, specialists and associates.

The next Administrative Transition Team meeting will be held October 9, 2019.
